As of August 17, 2004, Building Technologies Alliance (BTA) will become part of Delta Systems. Delta Systems has acquired the assets of the BTA organization and personnel who were formerly with BTA are now Delta employees.

As you probably know, BTA was a division of Acoustics Incorporated. Over the last several months we decided that BTA was not core to our operations going forward. We investigated several potential organizations that might acquire BTA and be a great fit for both our customers, employees and technology suppliers and found Delta Systems to be a strategic fit.

Delta Systems, which is also headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, was established in 1983 as a systems integrator of Fire & Life Safety, Security and Communications products. The company has Operation Centers in Charlotte, Greenville, South Carolina and Columbia, South Carolina. Delta was interested in acquiring BTA for several reasons. The company had plans to expand to Raleigh and felt our office there served a great customer base. Delta was able to expand its Fire Alarm business to Fire Suppression because of our great relationship with Fenwal, the leader in fire and explosion suppression, and lastly the Delta Team was strengthened by our employees.
